    PETA has just received incriminating federal filings showing that while Cleveland Clinic publicly denied employee negligence and animal suffering documented in our six month undercover investigation to college, he privately confessed several, similar violations of federal animal welfare regulations.

    Among other animal incidents at the Cleveland clinic documented between 2018 and 2021, workers did the following:

    • Placing mice in “heavily contaminated” and “overcrowded” cages.
    • The animals were left locked in cages overnight without food or water.

      • Infecting mice with bacteria and injecting them with tumor cells
      • Application of hair removal creams to the skin of mice causing lesions.

    In addition to rabbits and mice, the Cleveland Clinic maintains monkeys, pigs, rats, hamsters and other animals in its laboratories.
