Angels – For National Dog Day (Thursday, August 26), Selling sunset star Chrishell stause and her beloved senior dog, Gracie, must urgently share with fans in the new PETA campaign: Give the dog at the shelter a dream home!

In the accompanying video, the celebrity real estate agent shares the story of Gracie’s adoption and explains to fans how her own experiences deepened her empathy for dogs at shelters. And in the bonus video, she takes Gracie on her own tour of the house.

“Based on my experience of working with the homeless, my heart understands everything,” Stus says. “[T]The opportunity to completely change the life of a dog and give it a home for life has always been with me and was something that I am really passionate about. “

Stus encourages fans to do the right thing with dogs by picking them up from animal shelters and never buying them from breeders or pet stores, exacerbating the crisis of overpopulation of stray animals. About 70 million dogs and cats in the United States are homeless at any given time. An estimated 10% of them end up in animal shelters, where many end up being euthanized for reasons including injury, illness, old age, lack of adequate housing, and emotional and psychological damage.

“There are already too many dogs that don’t have a home,” Stus says. “And some of these dogs just need to redo their Hollywood makeup. Aren’t we all? “

Stus has joined a long list of celebrities, including Kristen Ritter, Tom Hardy, Gregg Sulkin, John Stamos, Sia, Christine Milioti, and Emma Kenny, who have teamed up with PETA or its affiliates to promote animal adoption.

PETA, whose motto is in part that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way,” is opposed to arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
