PETA’s National Hispanic Heritage Month Celebrates 30 Latin Celebrities Who Are Strongly Opposing Speciation While Protecting Animals
1. Aislinn Derbez
This meat-avoidant actor known for starring in Light, House of Flowers, and Travel with Derbez– was featured in PETA’s flamboyant Latin American commercial urging guardians to neuter or neuter their pets. The campaign cover she personally unveiled at the PETA Latino event in the famous Olvera Street in Los Angeles, a pair of stunning wings was painted by Derbez herself!
2. Alicia Machado

This Mexican American guitarist, currently based in San Antonio, is known as a former member of Selena and the dinosaurs and as the widower of the band’s legendary vocalist, Tejana singer Selena Quintanilla. He protects dogs and encourages his fans to adopt, not buy.
8. Christian Serratos
Vegan Star Walking Dead and Selena: TV series would rather go naked than wear fur. She even weathered a blizzard to promote her anti-fur campaign.
9. Clarissa Molina
Univision TV presenter Clarissa Molina joined PETA Latino to remind guardians of the importance of having an emergency plan to keep their entire family, including animals, safe during natural disasters.
10. Constance Marie
Actor Constance Marie – star George Lopez and Switched at birth– decided to give up meat in the 90s, after she opened her eyes on the set of the film. Selena made her keep a chicken on the set for a long time. She realized that chickens are sensitive animals with their own interests and a strong desire to live, and they can no longer justify eating them.
She has also performed for the killer whales trapped at SeaWorld and asked her fans to neuter or neuter their dogs and cats.

21. Maria Celeste Arraras
Besides the fact that the news anchor on Cnn in spanish, Maria Celeste Arraras is a staunch longtime supporter of PETA and PETA Latino. She has spoken out against bullfighting and circuses that exploit animals and was the recipient of the 2001 PETA Humanitarian Award.
22. Nicholas Gonzalez
This Texas-born Mexican American actor lives in his home with two adorable adoptive dogs. He opposes fur and joined PETA to encourage people to treat their dogs like their best friends.
23. Patricia De Leon
Actor, reality TV star and Miss Panama 1995 Patricia De Leon helped launch PETA Latino and starred in campaigns encouraging fans to go for vegetables, boycott bullfighting and be kind to animals. She even has her own cruelty-free lipstick line.
24. Paulina Rubio
The legendary Mexican singer Paulina Rubio has a history protecting animals, asking their fans never to leave dogs in hot cars and don’t give animals as holiday gifts.
25. Carmen Carrera
Model and actor Carmen Carrera is known for fearlessly using her platform to raise awareness of transgender and LGBTQIA + issues. And with a bold statement of a different kind, she bared everyone to draw attention to the suffering of animals that were caged and killed for their fur, and to encourage her followers to change their wardrobes by getting rid of fur.
