Lawrence, Kahn. – Vegan Business Award moves from PETA to local favorite Colorado West – Mex. Archibowls to open as a 100% vegan restaurant with menu items including loaded nachos filled with dairy-free queso cream, vegan tacos and guacamole; spicy mushrooms with jalapenos, cashews, red onions and sweet garlic sauce; and customizable tamale pies stuffed with tofu and chili lime.
“When we opened in January 2018, we were one of the few places in the Lawrence area where [had] there are more than one or two iconic vegan dishes on the menu, ”the restaurant writes on its website. “[I]In the meantime, the owner of the establishment has become a vegan herself! Our mission now is to serve totally awesome vegan food and transform as many hearts and taste buds as possible! “
PETA notes that the new menu benefits people. as well as and other species are similar: every person who goes vegan prevents nearly 200 animals from suffering annually on cramped and muddy farms; reduces your own risk of heart disease, cancer and strokes; and is helping to prevent future pandemics as SARS, swine flu, avian influenza and COVID-19 all arose from keeping and killing animals for food.
“This delightful vegan transformation means more animals can spread their wings, play outside and care for their loved ones, which means more people will be healthier,” says PETA campaign director Daniel Katz. “PETA recognizes Archiball’s commitment to a brighter future and hopes other companies will follow his brilliant example.”
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to eat” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
