Washington “To celebrate Biden’s first Easter at the White House, PETA sent the President and First Lady a basket of vegan chocolate bunnies and eggs ready to be dyed.
“As President Biden said, living on Easter means striving for the best, and it’s better to let chickens and cows live in peace with a vegan party,” says PETA vice president Colleen O’Brien. “PETA has tips, recipes and more to help everyone bring a vegan flavor to their favorite Easter traditions, from baskets to brunch and more.”
Ready-to-dye “eggs” are convenient (no cooking required!), Treat chickens well (not cramped to grow them) and can be a family souvenir after Easter. Everyonerabbit can enjoy organic, dairy-free chocolates that are good for mother cows who have had their beloved calves taken from their milk to make traditional sweets.
PETA’s Humane Easter Resources include delicious vegan recipes and a guide to finding ruthless chocolates for any Easter basket, even the presidential one.
PETA, whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours to eat” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human superiority. For more information please visit PETA.org or subscribe to the group on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram…
Note: PETA supports animal rights, opposes all forms of animal exploitation and educates the public on these issues. PETA does not participate, directly or indirectly, or interfere in any political campaign on behalf of or against any candidate for public office or any political party.
