We have convinced more than two dozen companies to make a merciful decision to ban exotic skins.– and others join them all the time. Why companies should ban exotic skins

We cannot carry animals. In previously unseen footage, PETA Asia’s investigation revealed that horrific suffering is sewn into every item made of exotic leather: workers cover the pythons’ mouth and anus with tapered ribbons, cut a hole in the head or tail, and then inflate them. to death with an air compressor. Crocodiles are electrocuted, stabbed, inflated, and probably skinned alive just to make bags, shoes, belts and other accessories that are sold around the world.

Violence is rampant in the exotic leather industry. PETA and our global affiliates have identified other cruel methods of killing animals for their hide:

• Snakes are usually nailed to trees, decapitated or cut open, and then skinned alive.
• Workers kill crocodiles by poking them down the spine with a metal rod.
• The lizards are beaten on the head with truncheons or their spine is cut with a chisel.

Take action on animals used in fashion

Using animals as clothing or accessories is a dying business. As people everywhere are learning how animals are suffering in the fashion industry, companies, clothing design universities and even entire cities are banning animal-based materials.
