Tulsa, Okla. – On Thursday, PETA supporters, along with huge, unmissable alpaca, sheep, cow and geese puppets, will create a bit of chaos outside the Urban Outfitters store on South Peoria Avenue. They’ll black out sidewalks, entice potential buyers to turn around, and loudly demand that Urban Outfitters, Inc. brands, including Anthropologie and Free People, leave alpaca fleece, wool, leather, mohair, cashmere, and more to the original owners.

When: Thursday 15 July 12:00

Where: Urban Outfitters, 3340 S. Peoria Ave., Tulsa

“Urban Outfitters stores are graveyards of animals that have been beaten, slaughtered and killed,” says PETA executive vice president Tracy Reiman. “PETA encourages Urban Outfitters brands to comply with the company’s sustainability and ethical consumer requirements by selling only vegan materials – which would be easy to do because they already have them in stock.”

PETA – whose motto is in part that “the animals are not ours” – opposes arrogance, a worldview focused on human excellence.
