PETA doubles bounty to $ 20,000 for stabbing

Atlanta – PETA adds another $ 10,000 to existing award of $ 10,000 proposed by the Atlanta Police Department for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the fatal injuries of Catherine Jenness and her dog Bowie in Piedmont Park late Tuesday. (See flyer here.)

According to reports, Jenness and her beloved dog Bowie, who lived about a mile from the park, did not return home from their after-dinner stroll, so Jenness’s friend traced her phone’s whereabouts. Bodies with multiple stab wounds were found at about 1 am at the entrance to the park.

The Atlanta-based PETA member has pledged funds, and the group is hoping for help from the public to solve the case before the killer (s) strikes again.

“Anyone who kills a woman and a dog that is likely to try to protect her, as faithful dogs invariably do, poses a threat to the entire community of sentient beings,” says PETA vice president Colleen O’Brien. “PETA is well aware of the case studies of killers targeting the most vulnerable among us, and calls on everyone with information to help the police identify this heartless killer.”
